Job summary

BioIntelliSense is seeking a Controller to own the accounting function. This hands-on leadership role requires a CPA with public accounting audit foundation to manage close, audit, and ASC 606 memos for complex contracts across hardware, SaaS data services, and government programs.

The Controller will lead a small team, partner with executives and the Board, and ensure accurate financial reporting and cash management as the company scales.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting from a top-tier university.
• 8+ years of total accounting experience, including 3+ years as Controller in a venture-backed or PE-backed company.
• Experience drafting ASC 606 revenue recognition memos and other technical accounting papers.
• Deep working knowledge of US GAAP: multi-element arrangements, inventory, leases, equity.
• Experience leading monthly close and preparing GAAP financial statements.
• NetSuite ERP experience; advanced Excel and financial modeling.
• Ability to brief executives and auditors with precision.

Responsibilities

• Own technical accounting files and draft ASC 606 memos for contracts.
• Maintain accounting policies and position papers for auditor review.
• Research GAAP guidance and brief leadership on implications.
• Design internal controls and procedures for scale and diligence.
