Job summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking an experienced Contract Specialist to manage complex government contracts, including FAR/DFARS terms, risk assessment, and international sales implications. The role is onsite in Folsom, CA and reports to the Senior Director of Contracts.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in tech/defense, strong negotiation and communication skills, and a track record of guiding leadership on contracting strategies and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 7+ years in a technology/defense/aerospace environment.
• Experience with FAR/DFARS contracting.
• Experience in proposal development, cost structures, performance requirements, scheduling, and negotiations.
• Demonstrated ability to influence executive leadership.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with complex customers.
• Detail-oriented and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic guidance on contractual rights, obligations, and policy.
• Collaborate with Finance to meet targets and secure contract awards.
• Develop and implement contract strategies aligned with Voyager goals.
• Coordinate with Legal, Supply Chain, Operations, and Compliance for vetting.
• Ensure documentation aligns with Delegation of Authority and policy.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships for positive interactions.
• Assist in proposal preparation and contract negotiations.
• Assess terms to mitigate risk while supporting financial goals.
• Present recommendations to executive leadership.
