Job summary

Voyager Technologies, based in San Diego, CA, seeks an experienced Contract Specialist to manage FAR/DFARS, IP, and USG data rights. The role reports to the Senior Director Contracts in Finance and requires strategic contract guidance across Legal, Supply Chain, Operations, and Compliance.

You will negotiate terms, support proposals, and align contracting actions with Voyager's objectives, including travel to multiple sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years highly dynamic role in a technology, defense, or aerospace/space company.
• Experience with managing Government contracts under FAR and the DFARS.
• Experience in the development of proposals, proposal cost structure, performance requirements, delivery schedules, and negotiations.
• Demonstrated ability to shape results in support of objectives, including ability to communicate and influence executive leadership.
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with complex customer
• Detail oriented and data-driven

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice and guidance on contractual rights/obligations, regulations, and policy/procedure to mitigate risks.
• Partner with Finance leadership to secure contract awards, negotiate payment terms, and coordinate with customers on on-time payments.
• Develop and implement contract strategies aligned with Voyager's imperatives.
• Coordinate with Legal, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Controller, and Compliance to vet contracting activities.
• Ensure documentation is completed per delegation of authority and policy.
• Build and maintain customer relationships for positive interactions.
• Lead contract management activities including proposals, negotiations, and risk assessment.
• Represent executive leadership with recommendations aligned to Voyager strategy.
• Collaborate with Legal, risk management, and corporate contracts on issues.
• Oversee contract closeouts and liaise with Supply Chain on contracting requirements.
• Travel between multiple sites as needed
