Job summary

Voyager Technologies in Folsom, CA seeks an experienced Contract Specialist to manage FAR/DFARS contracts, support proposals, negotiate terms, and guide leadership on risk. The role reports to the Senior Director Contracts and is onsite in California, with multi-site responsibility. A Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years in tech/defense are required; advanced degree is preferred. The salary range is generous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field.
• 7+ years in a technology, defense, or aerospace/space company.
• Experience managing Government contracts under FAR/DFARS.
• Experience in development of proposals, cost structure, performance requirements, delivery schedules, and negotiations.
• Ability to communicate and influence executive leadership.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with complex customers.
• Detail oriented and data-driven.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic guidance on contractual rights/obligations and policy to mitigate risk.
• Partner with Finance to secure contract awards and ensure on-time payment.
• Develop and implement contract strategies aligned with Voyager strategy.
• Coordinate with Legal, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and Compliance.
• Ensure documentation follows Delegation of Authority and policy.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships.
• Lead contract management activities including proposal support and negotiations.
• Assess terms to protect the corporation and improve financial goals.
• Represent recommendations to executive leadership.
• Coordinate with legal/risk to resolve key business issues.
• Handle contract closeouts and interface with Supply Chain.
• Willingness to travel between sites.
