OPENLANE in Carmel, Indiana is seeking a Communications Specialist to join our in-house Marketing & Communications team to support content marketing for our AFC finance business and our US/Canada marketplaces. You’ll craft clear, engaging content and use data-driven insights to guide strategy and improve performance.

You will collaborate across teams, manage an editorial calendar, optimize copy for SEO, and help measure impact to drive growth and brand visibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field.
• 2–4 years in marketing, communications or advertising.
• Exceptional writing skills.
• Strong multitasking, prioritization and deadline-driven mindset.
• Ability to analyze data and apply it to content strategy.
• Understanding of SEO and AEO/GEO best practices, with a commitment to continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Brainstorm, write, proofread and improve high-quality externally-facing content assets.
• Build an editorial calendar for timely content creation and publication.
• Apply SEO and data insights to expand reach and effectiveness.
• Collaborate to measure content impact and align with business goals.
• Manage a multi-stakeholder review process ensuring accuracy and compliance.
