Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Business Development Manager to own the market for testing and inspection services. You will build a robust pipeline, manage relationships from first contact to signed agreements, and coordinate with the engineering team on scope and pricing.

You will travel locally as needed, leverage an established contractor/owner network, and drive revenue through disciplined opportunity pursuit and client engagement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
• An existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the market.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: documented, forecastable, and honest.
• Comfortable talking specifications and schedules with a superintendent and contract terms with an owner.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms in your market.
• Own relationships end to end and drive the pipeline from first contact through proposal and signed agreement.
• Track permits, bid boards, and project announcements to find work before award and qualify it for pursuit.
• Run the pursuit pipeline in the CRM from initial contact to close, including proposals and follow-up.
• Coordinate proposals with the engineering team: scope, pricing, qualifications, and follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry associations, pre-bid meetings, and client events; report pipeline and results monthly.
