Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager to own a market consisting of general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms. You will manage the pipeline, build strong relationships, and drive the close on testing and inspection work.

You work with a seller-doer engineer pricing and sealing the technical side; your job is the relationships, the pipeline, and the close, with base salary plus commission on collected revenue.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
• Existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the market.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: documented, forecastable, and honest.
• Comfortable discussing specifications and schedules with superintendents and owners.

Responsibilities

• Build a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms.
• Own relationships end to end and manage the pipeline.
• Track permits, bid boards, and project announcements to find work before award.
• Run pursuit pipeline in CRM from first contact to signed agreement.
• Coordinate proposals with engineering: scope, pricing, qualifications, and follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry associations, pre-bid meetings, and client events.
• Report pipeline and results monthly.
