Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager to own the market: general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms. You will manage the pipeline and close deals while collaborating with a seller-doer engineer on pricing and the technical side.

Your responsibilities include building a target client list, tracking permits and bids, coordinating proposals with engineering, and representing the company at industry events.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
• Existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the local market.
• Disciplined, forecastable pipeline management and accurate forecasting.
• Ability to discuss specifications and schedules with supers and owners.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms.
• Own relationships end to end and manage the pursuit pipeline in CRM.
• Track permits, bid boards, and project announcements to find work before award.
• Coordinate proposals with the engineering team: scope, pricing, qualifications, follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry associations and client events.
• Report pipeline and results monthly.
