Job summary

Construction Material Testing is looking for a Business Development Manager who will own the market by cultivating relationships with general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms, and drive the pipeline from prospecting to signed testing and inspection work.

You will work alongside a seller-doer engineer on pricing while you manage relationships, track permits and bids, coordinate proposals, and represent the company at industry events and client meetings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
• An existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the market of the posting.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: documented, forecastable, and honest.
• Comfortable talking specifications and schedules with a superintendent and contract terms with an owner.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a target list of clients in the market and own relationships end to end.
• Track permits, bid boards, and project announcements to find work before it is awarded.
• Coordinate proposals with the engineering team: scope, pricing, qualifications, and follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry associations, pre-bid meetings, and client events.
