Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager to own the market relationships, pipeline, and close deals. You will work with a seller-doer engineer pricing and sealing the technical side, while you focus on relationships and revenue growth.

Your role requires building and nurturing relationships with contractors, owners, developers, and design firms, tracking project announcements, and driving proposals from first contact through signed agreements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to construction (testing/inspection/engineering/equipment/subcontracting).
• Existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the posting market.
• Disciplined, forecastable pipeline with documented activity.
• Comfort discussing specs and schedules with supers and owners.

Responsibilities

• Build a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms.
• Own relationships end to end and manage the pipeline in CRM.
• Track permits, bid boards, and project announcements to find work early.
• Coordinate proposals with engineering: scope, pricing, qualifications, and follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry associations, pre-bid meetings, and client events; report pipeline monthly.
• Travel locally and to Sugar Land for planning.
