Job summary

associacareers is seeking a Portfolio Community Manager to oversee multiple HOA, condo, and townhome communities in the Glen Allen, VA area. You will liaise with homeowners, boards, and committees to ensure smooth daily operations and well-maintained communities.

The role begins onsite for six months, transitioning to a hybrid arrangement. Minimum 3+ years in community associations, strong customer service, and a plan to obtain CMCA within the first year are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with community associations
• Understanding of Board–homeowner–management relationships
• Willingness to obtain CMCA within first year
• Customer service driven and team oriented
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to interpret financial documents
• Effective project management across multiple projects

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison among homeowners, board, and committees.
• Manage emails and phone calls; research inquiries and respond.
• Enter data and update database; track documents and information.
• Prioritize maintenance requests; coordinate vendors and work onsite.
• Source vendors; submit RFPs; advise the board.
• Manage vendor bidding, relationships, and capital projects.
• Prepare board packages; schedule monthly/annual meetings.
• Create and manage budgets; review financial reports and reserves.
• Distribute weekly communications to homeowners by mail and email.
• Assist homeowners with architectural review forms and follow-up.
• Issue violation letters and ensure corrections.
• Conduct site inspections and walk-throughs.
• Support policy governance and association projects.
