Job summary

FirstService Residential seeks a proactive Community Manager to lead daily operations, aligning with Board directives and community goals. You will oversee staff, budgets, and projects, ensuring compliance with governing documents and industry standards.

The role demands strategic planning, staff development, and strong communication with homeowners and committees. This full-time position offers a stable environment with comprehensive benefits and occasional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field and three years’ experience in Property Operations, Hospitality or Construction; or equivalent.
• Seven years of successful community management experience with at least 4 years leading staff.
• CPM, PCAM, ARM or AMS designations or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License and State Mandated Vehicle Insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to develop short- and long-range plans; set goals and actions to meet Board objectives.
• Review organization structure, job descriptions, and functions; advise the Board on changes.
• Partner with public, private and volunteer organizations to provide community services.
• Support Board sub-committees and ensure adherence to governing documents.
• Create and manage the annual budget with Board approval; monitor monthly financial position.
• Lead meetings with the Board; prepare reports and follow up on priorities.
• Hire, train and supervise all community staff according to the management plan.
