Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Community Association Manager to lead boards and manage daily operations for our communities in the Bethesda area. You will oversee the association, staff, budgets, and compliance with governing documents, while maintaining strong communication with homeowners and directors.

Responsibilities include strategic planning, staff development, and implementing annual budgets, ensuring service quality, and coordinating with emergency and public agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field and 3 years’ experience in Property Operations, Hospitality or Construction.
• Seven years of successful community management experience with staff leadership.
• Experience managing multiple departments and divisions in a small/medium organization.
• Understanding of building management, condominium law, financial planning and law affecting property management.
• Valid Driver’s License and State Mandated Vehicle Insurance.
• Commitment to obtain CPM, PCAM, ARM or AMS designations or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction in developing short- and long-range plans; lead annual goal setting.
• Review organization structure and functions; advise the Board on changes.
• Partner with organizations to provide community services when necessary.
• Support Board sub-committees and ensure board communications.
• Oversee budgets, financial reporting, and adherence to governing documents.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise community staff per the management plan.
• Maintain emergency and evacuation plans with local agencies.
• Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and programs.
• Attend professional group meetings and stay current on trends.
