Job summary

FirstService Residential in Fairfax, VA seeks a Floating Community Association Manager to lead day-to-day operations for the board-driven community. The role oversees staff, ensures legal compliance, and aligns with the board's mission and community needs.

You will manage budgets, coordinate governance processes, and maintain strong communication with the board and homeowners. On-site leadership and timely reporting are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field with 3 years’ experience in property operations or related field.
• Seven years of community management experience or equivalent, with 4+ years in staff leadership.
• Experience managing multiple departments and budgets.
• Understanding of condominium law, financial planning, and property management law.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance; CPM/PCAM/ARM or AMS designations sought.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to achieve Board objectives and annual goals.
• Review organization structure and roles; recommend changes to the Board.
• Oversee staff and operations; ensure compliance with governing documents.
• Develop annual operating budgets in collaboration with the Board.
• Monitor monthly financial position and report to the Board.
• Lead Board meetings with agenda support and reporting.
• Coordinate with emergency services and community organizations.
• Ensure adherence to calendars, budgets, and subsidy programs.
• Conduct site inspections and maintain safety and risk oversight.
