Job summary

Trustmark Bank is seeking a Commercial Relationship Manager I/II/III to develop and manage commercial accounts with focus on customer service and profitability while maintaining risk controls. The role spans multiple levels with increasing responsibilities and underwriting expectations.

The candidate will manage portfolios, perform credit analyses, and collaborate with product partners to tailor solutions while expanding client relationships and new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business/finance or relevant experience.
• 3+ years of progressive commercial banking/credit experience or equivalent.
• Experience with commercial banking risk analysis.
• Understanding of banking and credit approval processes and policies.
• Sales principles and client development knowledge.
• Experience with products/services offered by financial institutions.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Analytical, time management, organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail with accuracy.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships.
• 5+ years in commercial banking/credit, with underwriting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of pricing models, profitability forecasting, and credit analysis.
• Experienced in managing a commercial loan portfolio; leadership skills.
• Familiarity with underwriting and credit procedures; able to comply with regulations.
• Track record in business development with established customers.
• Experience as an underwriter is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Understand credit, commercial products, and financial statement analyses to offer banking solutions.
• Manage an existing portfolio and seek opportunities to generate incremental revenue.
• Engage with customers regularly to strengthen trusted advisor relationships and cross-sell.
• Apply portfolio management, underwriting, risk analysis, and loan closing processes.
• Develop business via calls, visits, and meetings to meet new business goals.
• Maintain professional community relations to increase visibility and opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies and risk controls in lending activities.
• Keep portfolio prudence with acceptable non-performing loan levels.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
