Job summary

FBFCU in Fayetteville, NC is seeking an experienced Business Lending Specialist who will source, develop, and close commercial loans across a seven-county footprint. You will represent FBFCU in the local community and promote all products and services while supporting member relationships.

You will lead business development initiatives, assist borrowers through loan applications, coordinate with underwriters, and ensure timely closings while meeting compliance.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years business/commercial lending experience.
• Sales experience and familiarity with banking products.
• Strong communications and leadership abilities.
• Must meet NMLS registration requirements and annual compliance trainings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute business development to expand the commercial lending portfolio across the 7-county NC footprint.
• Assist borrowers with loan applications, gather documents, analyze information, and coordinate with underwriters.
• Consult with members on loan options, pricing, and structure; promote FBFCU products.
• Ensure timely closings, monitor compliance, and resolve issues with stakeholders.
• Cross-sell HELOCs, real estate loans, and consumer loans; conduct property inspections as needed.
