Job summary

Relation Insurance is seeking an Account Manager for the Small Business Unit to manage client relationships and provide strategic risk management guidance for small commercial accounts. The role involves advising on coverage, renewals, proposals, and claims coordination, with emphasis on service excellence and retention.

Ideal candidates bring a Property & Casualty license, at least 5 years of commercial lines experience, strong analytical and presentation skills, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Property and Casualty License required.
• Four-year degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years account management in insurance (commercial lines).
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus or required in some locations.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• In-depth understanding of advanced commercial lines of coverage.

Responsibilities

• Serves as main contact for clients, guiding coverage changes and policy requirements.
• Partners in strategic development of tailored insurance plans.
• Acts as field underwriter and authorized representative to assess and bind coverage.
• Manages renewal remarketing to maintain high client retention.
• Prepares client proposals, submissions, loss evaluations and risk analyses.
• Produces binders, certificates, policies, endorsements, and related documents.
• Assists clients with first reports of claims; coordinates with adjusters and claims team.
• Reviews renewals and audits, communicates discrepancies to clients.
• Reviews cancellation requests to retain clients and protect company profitability.
• Keeps informed on industry developments, new products, and regulatory changes.
• Implements process improvements and integrates proprietary AI solutions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
