Job summary

Kapnick Insurance, founded in 1946, is a Michigan-based independent advisory firm with a global reach. The Commercial Lines Account Manager will proactively manage all services for clients and carriers, build long-term relationships, and improve the overall client experience in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

You will coordinate proposals, renewals, billing, and policy changes, provide new business orientation, and train clients on Kapnick Connect.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry
• Property & Casualty license preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Responsibilities

• Manage client requests via phone, mail, FAX, or email promptly.
• Create binders, certificates, change requests, and related items.
• Prepare invoices, billing, credits, and collections for agency-billed items.
• Provide new business orientation to clients during carrier changes.
• Assist in reviewing and updating client operations and exposures.
• Prepare proposals and materials to support CE in writing/renewing accounts.
• Coordinate marketing options with Client Executives and maintain carrier relations.
• Track losses information for assigned accounts.
• Maintain Kapnick Connect training for clients.
• Maintain monthly expiration lists and auto ID mailings.
• Process and issue bonds and flood coverage; process cancellations.
• Collaborate with team on assigned accounts.
• Monitor voice mail, email, and EPIC entries per guidelines.
• Log unprocessed mail.
• Set up and process new business with guidance from Account Executive.
• Attend department and team meetings; assist with information requests.

Skills

5+ years experience in insurance

Strong interpersonal & communication

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Property & Casualty License (preferred)
