Job summary

Kapnick Insurance in Michigan is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to build long-term relationships with clients and carriers. You will proactively manage all services for clients while seeking ways to improve quality and value, collaborating with the Client Executive & Account Executive and cross-functional teams to enhance the customer experience.

You will need 5+ years in the insurance industry, a Property & Casualty license (preferred), and strong communication skills to coordinate

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED is required.
• 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry.
• Property & Casualty License is preferred.
• Industry designations such as CPCU, CIC, AU, CRM, etc. or professional designation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Manage and respond to client requests by phone, mail, FAX, or email promptly.
• Create binders, certificates, change requests, and related items accurately.
• Prepare invoices, close binders, apply credits, and manage billing issues.
• Provide new business orientation to clients and ensure smooth implementation.
• Assist in reviewing client operations and exposures to risk for new/renewal accounts.
• Coordinate proposals and analysis to assist CE in writing and renewing accounts.
• Maintain carrier relations and review policy discrepancies.
• Understand loss information and training for Kapnick Connect.
• Maintain expiration lists and coordinate Auto ID mailings.
• Process and issue bonds and flood coverage/policies.
