Ice Miller LLP is seeking a Client Special Arrangements Analyst to oversee full-cycle client accounting for a group of high-volume billing partners. The role emphasizes timely invoicing, accurate collections, and confidential financial reporting within the firm’s system.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Experience in a law firm or legal industry preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of electronic billing systems and best practices.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
• Experience supporting training and adoption of new billing technologies.
• Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to process improvements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work across teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle client accounting for assigned partners, including WIP, AR, trust, and unallocated funds.
• Identify trends in client agreements to improve profitability and fee arrangements.
• Coordinate with Intake to open matters and resolve delays.
• Monitor billing guidelines, invoice formats, discounts, and rate settings with Pricing.
• Collaborate with attorneys to address billing requirements and delinquent billing issues.
• Use billing software to monitor outstanding invoices and age >60 days.
• Support electronic billing systems and communicate needs to the eBilling team.
• Analyze financial data to recommend billing solutions and improvements.
• Educate attorneys on AFAs and assist implementation.
• Resolve complex billing and collections inquiries.
• Mentor junior billing staff to promote consistency.
