Job summary

Bexar County is seeking a Change Management Specialist to implement structured change management methodologies across organizational changes in San Antonio, TX. The role collaborates with leadership to tailor communication and training plans that align with strategic goals.

The successful candidate will develop tactics to shift mindsets, manage resistance, and measure adoption. A Bachelor's degree with relevant experience is required, and a valid driver's license is preferred for on-site

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 5 years progressive experience in change management or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong listening and presentation skills.
• Ability to develop tactics to shift mindset and behaviors during change programs.
• Must maintain relationships with co-workers, leadership, and departments.

Responsibilities

• Apply a structured change management approach with effective communication strategies.
• Develop change management strategy based on situational awareness of change details and impacted groups.
• Identify people-side risks and resistance, craft communications strategies to mitigate concerns.
• Help employees understand issues surrounding change activities.
• Develop actionable plans including sponsor roadmaps, coaching, training and resistance plans.
• Support execution by managers and leaders with key messages and talking points.
• Create measurement systems to track adoption, utilization and proficiency of changes.
• Identify resistance and performance gaps and implement corrective communications.
• Create reinforcement mechanisms and celebrate successes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
