Job summary

Discover International is seeking a Senior Director of Business Development to drive new business across its full-service CDMO offering for biotech and pharmaceutical clients from development through commercial manufacturing.

You will own the full commercial cycle from prospecting and technical discovery through RFIs/RFPs, proposal development, contract negotiation, and project award, while building a robust pipeline and revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Business, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business across the company’s full-service CDMO offering, supporting pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients from development through clinical and commercial manufacturing
• Identify, qualify, and develop new CDMO opportunities across biotech, emerging pharma, and established pharmaceutical accounts
• Own the full commercial cycle from prospecting and technical discovery through RFIs/RFPs, proposal development, contract negotiation, and project award
• Build and manage a strong pipeline of outsourced development and manufacturing opportunities while consistently achieving revenue targets
• Work closely with technical, operations, quality, finance, and legal teams to develop commercially competitive solutions aligned with client requirements
• Build long-term relationships with existing customers to secure repeat programs, additional projects, and broader account penetration
• Monitor CDMO market trends, competitor activity, customer pipelines, capacity needs, and outsourcing strategies to identify new business opportunities
• Represent the company at major pharmaceutical and biotech conferences, partnering meetings, and customer visits
