Job summary

Chicago Public Schools is seeking a Part-Time Case Manager to support students with disabilities on the Far South Side. The role focuses on IDEA and 504 compliance, coordination of evaluations, and development of IEP/504 plans while ensuring parental communication.

The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in special education or educational administration and a valid PEL, with at least two years of related experience in a collaborative, multi-stakeholder environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in special education or Master’s in educational administration.
A valid Professional Educator License (PEL) in Special Education or School Support Personnel with supervisory endorsement.
Two or more years of experience in special education.

Responsibilities

Serve as district representative at IDEA and 504 meetings.
Chair IEP and 504 conferences and act as District Representative.
Coordinate referrals for FIE and ensure 60 school days timeline.
Finalize each student’s IEP or 504 plan and document in SSM.
Ensure parental notices and consents are provided in the native language where feasible.
