Job summary

Chicago Public Schools on the South Side is hiring a Case Manager to support students with disabilities under IDEA and Section 504, coordinating IEPs/504 plans, evaluations, and eligibility reviews. The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's in special education or a Master's in educational administration, and a valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsement.

Two+ years of experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in special education or Master’s in educational administration.
• Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with Special Education or School Support Personnel endorsement
• Two or more years of experience in special education
• Ability to work with diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds
• Knowledge of IDEA and Section 504 requirements

Responsibilities

• Serve as district representative at required meetings under IDEA and 504.
• Coordinate referrals for FIE and ensure timelines.
• Chair IEP and 504 conferences and act as District Representative.
• Ensure IEP/504 data entry in the SSM and provide copies to parents.
• Arrange special education services and coordinate with ODLSS for implementation
