Job summary

Chicago Public Schools seeks a Case Manager to fulfill district responsibilities under IDEA and 504, coordinating evaluations, IEPs, and related services for students with disabilities. The role requires collaboration with principals, families, and ODLSS, and ensuring timely, compliant processes across the school.

The position demands a Master’s or Bachelor’s in special education or admin, plus a valid PEL; two+ years in special education and strong knowledge of relevant laws and CPS resources.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in special education.
• Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) in Special Education or School Support Personnel with supervisory endorsement.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations regarding IDEA/504.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the local school district representative at required meetings under the IDEA and as the 504 Coordinator.
• Chair and coordinate IEP and 504 conferences and ensure timelines are met.
• Ensure parental notices and consents are provided in the native language where feasible.
