Job summary

Chicago Public Schools is seeking a Case Manager within the Office of Diverse Learner Supports and Services to oversee IEP and 504 processes and ensure timely, compliant provision of services for students with disabilities.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's in Special Education (or a Master's in Educational Administration), plus a valid PEL in Special Education or School Support Personnel with supervisory endorsement and at least two years in special education.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in special education.
• Expertise in special education curriculum and service provision.
• Knowledge of MTSS/RTI frameworks.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the local school district representative at required meetings under the IDEA.
• Chair IEP and 504 conferences and act as District Representative.
• Ensure timelines for IDEA and Section 504 are met and documentation is in native language where feasible.
• Coordinate referrals for Full and Individual Evaluations and related services.
• Arrange and monitor special education services per IEPs and IEP data entry in SSM.
