Job summary

Chicago Public Schools is seeking a Case Manager to coordinate special education services under IDEA and Section 504. You will serve as district representative at required meetings, ensure timelines and documentation, and coordinate evaluations and service provisions for students with disabilities.

The role requires a valid PEL in Special Education or supervisory endorsement, a relevant degree, and at least two years of experience in special education.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in special education or a Master’s degree in educational administration.
• A valid Professional Educator License (PEL) in Special Education (PK–Age 21) or School Support Personnel with supervisory endorsement.
• Two or more years of experience in special education.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the local school district representative at all required meetings under the IDEA and 504.
• Chair IEP and 504 conferences and act as District Representative.
• Ensure timelines for IDEA/504 and timely processing of notices and consents.
• Coordinate referrals for FIEs, assistive technology evaluations, or FBAs.
• Develop IEPs/504 Plans in the Student Information System and ensure data entry.
