Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1-year experience in a similar role preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Familiarity with transportation management software (TMS) like McLeod or TMW.
• Familiarity with CRM software like Salesforce or One-Page.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain partnerships with transportation carriers per organizational guidelines.
• Procure qualified carriers to move freight meeting pickup/delivery requirements.
• Negotiate rates for maximum profit while driving load volume.
• Schedule pickup and delivery appointments aligning with carrier and customer needs.
• Track loads from contract through final delivery and update systems accordingly.
• Communicate status changes to internal/external customers as needed.
• Provide professional representation of the customer and carrier in interactions.
• Stay informed on freight market trends, weather, and road conditions affecting deliveries.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
