Job summary

Amcor is seeking a senior project engineer to manage complex capital projects related to PET preforms and rigid containers. You will review new products from a manufacturing perspective, oversee multiple projects across sites from conception to qualification, and ensure productivity, timing and budget are met.

Travel about 60% and collaborate with Regional Directors, Plant Managers and resources. Strong leadership, communication and project-management skills are essential for success in this

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Minimum seven years of professional engineering experience in the plastics packaging industry, including seven years of project management.
• Experience managing multiple resources and complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Create bills of materials for new capital projects and support the capital appropriation process.
• Ensure safety and environmental requirements are incorporated into project scope and budget.
• Refine feasibility studies into an action plan meeting cost and timing criteria.
• Review plant infrastructure and equipment against project requirements.
• Communicate and resolve technical, timing and budget issues related to projects.
