Job summary

GAF Materials Corp. is seeking a Capital Procurement Manager to lead procurement activities across project lifecycles, collaborating with Engineering, EPC/EPCm firms, and Business stakeholders to deliver on time and within budget.

The role emphasizes category strategies, contract negotiation, supplier risk management, and continuous improvement, with preferred background in construction or manufacturing and experience with Coupa, Maximo, or SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of overall procurement experience.
• 2+ years of manufacturing or industrial experience managing capital procurement and/or construction contracts.
• Strong interpersonal skills to influence all levels of the organization.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Coupa, Maximo, SAP, or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Leverage Category Strategies and procurement best practices to develop and implement “fit for purpose” project procurement plans and strategies.
• Lead project specific construction RFI / Proposal sourcing events. Conduct technical and commercial conditioning activities, and make recommendations to the project team.
• Structure and negotiate construction contracts aligned with the project's delivery model (e.g., Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, Construction Management at Risk, or EPC/ EPCm).
• Oversee vendor manufacturing timelines, freight logistics, laydown space planning, and site delivery schedules to prevent project delays.
• Act as a procurement liaison for Engineering, EPC/EPCm firms to ensure GAF technology (IP), terms, and best practices are adhered to.
• With a Continuous Improvement mindset, collaborate with business and project teams to provide procurement insights to drive future improvement.
• Resolve supplier disputes and advise stakeholders on strategies to minimize risks.
