Job summary

GAF is seeking a Capital Procurement Manager to lead procurement throughout project lifecycles, partnering with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Business stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.

The role requires expertise in procurement strategies, contract negotiation, and supplier management, ensuring alignment with IP and commercial terms. A broad background in capital projects and ERP systems is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, construction management, business, or related field.
• 5+ years of procurement experience.
• 2+ years of manufacturing or industrial experience managing capital procurement and/or construction contracts.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence all levels of the organization.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Coupa, Maximo, SAP, or equivalent) and analytical tools.

Responsibilities

• Leverage category strategies to develop and implement project procurement plans and strategies.
• Lead project-specific construction RFI/Proposal sourcing events and conduct conditioning activities.
• Structure and negotiate construction contracts aligned with project delivery models and secure risk-mitigation terms.
• Oversee vendor manufacturing timelines, freight logistics, and site delivery schedules to prevent delays.
• Act as procurement liaison for Engineering and EPC/EPCm firms to ensure IP and commercial terms are adhered to.
• Collaborate with teams to provide procurement insights for continuous improvement.
• Resolve supplier disputes and advise on strategies to minimize risks.
