Job summary

GAF's Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) team is seeking a Capital Procurement Manager to drive procurement for large-scale capital projects. You will partner with Project Engineering, Manufacturing, and business stakeholders to deliver on-time, on-budget results while applying GAF procurement strategies and policies.

You will lead RFI/RFP events, negotiate critical contracts, and coordinate with EPC/EPCm teams to ensure favorable terms, risk mitigation, and adherence to IP protection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• 5+ years of overall procurement experience.
• 2+ years of manufacturing or industrial experience managing capital procurement and/or construction contracts.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence all levels of the organization.
• Hands-on experience using ERP systems (Coupa, Maximo, SAP, or equivalent) and analytical tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement fit-for-purpose project procurement plans and strategies.
• Lead project-specific sourcing events (RFI/RFP) and conduct technical and commercial evaluations.
• Structure and negotiate construction contracts with appropriate risk-mitigating terms.
• Oversee vendor timelines, freight logistics, and site delivery schedules to prevent delays.
• Act as procurement liaison with Engineering, EPC/EPCm firms to ensure IP and commercial terms alignment.
• Provide procurement insights through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Resolve supplier disputes and advise on risk mitigation strategies.
