Job summary

GAF is seeking a Capital Procurement Manager to lead procurement efforts across project lifecycles, partnering with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Business stakeholders. You will drive timely, on-budget delivery for capital projects by applying category strategies and proven sourcing practices.

Responsibilities include negotiating construction contracts, managing vendor timelines, and coordinating with EPC/EPCm firms to ensure IP protection and favorable terms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of procurement experience.
• 2+ years of manufacturing or industrial experience managing capital procurement and/or construction contracts.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence all levels of the organization.
• Hands-on experience in the use of ERP systems (Coupa, Maximo, SAP, or equivalent) and other analytical tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement fit-for-purpose project procurement plans and strategies.
• Lead project-specific construction RFI/Proposal sourcing events and evaluate responses.
• Negotiate contracts with risk-mitigating terms and change-order controls.
• Track vendor manufacturing, logistics, and site delivery to avoid delays.
• Coordinate with Engineering and EPC/EPCm firms to ensure best practices and IP protection.
