Job summary

GAF Materials Corp. is seeking a Capital Procurement Manager to lead procurement activities across project lifecycles, partnering with Engineering and EPC teams to optimize cost, schedule, and risk.

This role drives category strategies, bid events, and contract negotiations to deliver on-time, on-budget outcomes. The CPM collaborates with manufacturing, project engineering, and vendors to secure terms that balance performance and risk while ensuring alignment with GAF policies and capital

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field required
• 5+ years of overall procurement experience
• 2+ years of manufacturing or industrial experience managing capital procurement and/or construction contracts
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence all levels of the organization
• Hands-on experience in ERP systems (Coupa, Maximo, SAP, or equivalent) and other analytical tools

Responsibilities

• Leverage category strategies to develop and implement fit-for-purpose project procurement plans and strategies
• Lead project-specific construction RFI/RFP sourcing events and evaluate technical and commercial bids
• Structure and negotiate construction contracts with risk-mitigation terms including liquidated damages, indemnity, change-order caps, retention, liability, and performance bonds
• Oversee vendor manufacturing timelines, freight logistics, laydown space planning, and site delivery schedules
• Act as procurement liaison for Engineering and EPC/EPCm firms to ensure IP and favorable terms
• Collaborate with business and project teams to provide procurement insights for future improvements
• Resolve supplier disputes and advise stakeholders on risk mitigation strategies
