Job summary

Alamo Group Ag Americas, LLC located in Selma, Alabama, is seeking a Buyer II to support profitability, inventory turnover, and supplier performance in a manufacturing environment. The role combines purchasing and materials planning, requiring strong negotiation and ERP experience with JD Edwards.

Responsibilities include entering POs in the JDE system, engaging suppliers, tracking delivery performance, and driving cost-saving initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field is preferred.
• 5+ years in a manufacturing environment with 3+ years in supply chain (purchasing/scheduling).
• Professional supply chain certification (CPIM, CPSM) or working toward it.

Responsibilities

• Enter and update supply chain parameters, POs in the JDE ERP system.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers; obtain manager approval as needed.
• Support production planning meetings and work with planners to meet delivery goals.
• Monitor delivery performance and address late shipments with root-cause analysis.
• Identify savings opportunities and manage PPV with budget tracking.
