Job summary

Alamo Group Ag Americas, LLC in Selma, Alabama seeks a Buyer to join the team, combining purchasing and materials planning to support profitability, delivery, and quality. You'll work with suppliers, coordinate with production, and ensure timely launches with cost-conscious decisions.

The role requires experience in manufacturing supply chains, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency with JDE ERP and MS Office. Relocation assistance and competitive salary are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field preferred.
• 5+ years in a manufacturing environment with at least 3 years in supply chain (purchasing, scheduling, etc.).
• Professional supply chain certification or working towards (CPIM, CPSM, etc).
• Competent in the JDE ERP system.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Enter and update supply chain parameters and purchase orders in JDE ERP.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, freight terms with suppliers and seek approval as needed.
• Support morning production meetings and coordinate with production planners.
• Identify and source alternative suppliers; manage supplier onboarding for launches.
• Manage inventory levels to meet company objectives and track delivery performance.
• Lead or participate in cost-saving projects and PPV tracking.
• Coordinate launches ensuring ISIR compliance and supplier readiness.
