Job summary

Placement By Design, Inc. is seeking a Senior Business Development Coordinator/Specialist in Dallas, TX. This hybrid role combines independent coordination, research, and regular client contact to build opportunities and strengthen client relationships.

You will manage the pursuit pipeline, prepare materials for leadership, and coordinate with marketing and consultants to advance strategic pursuits. Based in Dallas, you will work closely with the President/Principal Architect, supporting growth

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience coordinating business development, proposals, and client relationships within architecture, engineering, construction, or a related professional services practice.
• Strong writing, editing, organization, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical information into clear client-focused material.
• Experience maintaining a CRM and managing a dependable follow-up process; HubSpot familiarity is valuable.
• Ability to manage overlapping deadlines, coordinate contributions from others, and complete assignments with limited day-to-day direction.
• Comfort communicating directly with public agency representatives, consultants, and prospective clients.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and presentation tools; familiarity with proposal layout software and public procurement processes is valuable.
• Willingness to travel for selected conferences, client meetings, and company coordination.

Responsibilities

• Opportunity tracking and proposal development for target markets and pursuits.
• Maintain and organize pursuit materials, library, and staff résumés.
• Coordinate outreach to prospective and existing clients and partners; prepare background briefs for meetings.
• Develop contact plans to advance relationships and support leadership decisions.
• Track conferences, speaking submissions, sponsorships, and industry activities; support national speaking program.
• Assemble qualification presentations, interview materials, and client-specific talking points.
• Prepare concise pipeline reports with next actions and deadlines; support BD planning.
