Troutman Pepper Locke LLP is seeking a Business Development Coordinator to join the Marketing and BD team in Washington, DC. You will work with the Insurance + Reinsurance Litigation group to plan and deliver high-quality materials and targeted business development initiatives, supporting growth initiatives across practice groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of four (4) years of marketing and business development experience, preferably within a law firm or a professional services organization.
• Prior successful work history supporting a legal practice or similar experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing strategies to cultivate business with current and prospective clients.
• Conduct client, prospect, industry, competitor, and market research/analysis to inform targeted business development efforts.
• Assist in the creation of high quality, tailored pitch materials, responses to RFPs and client presentations.
• Assist with development of legal directory and award submissions and regular league table submissions.
• Assist with development and distribution of client alerts, newsletters, blogs, and other thought leadership pieces.
• Coordinate planning and execution of events, sponsorships, webinars and speaking engagements, including venue research, budget/logistics, invitations, collateral, vendor coordination, and on-site support.
• Promote successes and legal expertise through media, publishing, and speaking opportunities aligned with practice profile-raising goals.
• Identify cross-practice connections to boost internal visibility.
• Collect and organize matter data for Foundation (firm experience system).
• Handle Deal Cloud functions—marketing lists, research, reports.
• Collaborate with Practice Management to support internal group operations and attend practice group meetings.
• Respond to client inquiries in a timely manner and seek feedback.
