Job summary

M&T Bank is seeking a Business Banking Relationship Manager to oversee an assigned portfolio of small business relationships in Iselin, NJ. You will solicit new business, manage risk, and service existing clients through the bank's relationship program.

You will collaborate with branch partners to maximize sales of cash management, merchant services, and other products, while networking with accountants and attorneys to develop new opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of banking or sales experience.
• Ability to read and analyze financial statements and tax returns.
• Knowledge of cash management and merchant services products.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop new banking relationships with business prospects.
• Service existing business banking client base and achieve goals.
• Work with branch partners to maximize sales and cross-sell products.
• Network with accountants, attorneys and other referral sources.
• Evaluate credit information and recommend loan structures; negotiate with underwriters to maximize revenue and minimize risk.
• Oversee loan portfolio and achieve lending targets.
• Manage relationship manager caseload and service 15–40 clients.
