Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a PSA Service Sales Representative to promote and sell service agreements for commercial building systems, including fire alarm, suppression, sprinkler, security, and more. Build relationships, qualify opportunities, and drive the sales process from prospecting to contract close and ongoing account service.

Role requires 5+ years in B2B sales, service/tech selling experience, strong communication, and ability to navigate a matrix organization.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent work experience, typically 5 years.
• At least 5 years of B2B sales experience with a proven track record.
• Experience selling a service, intangible, or technical product.
• Experience prospecting, qualifying, solution selling, and closing deals.
• Ability to work in a matrix environment with minimal direction and meet quota-based performance expectations.
• Strong professional communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
• Proficiency with personal computers, including Windows and Oracle systems.
• Ability and willingness to work as a teammate and collaborate well with others.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell service agreements for commercial building systems to an assigned customer base.
• Establish contact with prospects, qualify potential buyers, and follow up on leads using planned sales activities and marketing strategies.
• Develop a positive ongoing relationship with customers to understand needs and support long-term retention.
• Create sales strategies that align Johnson Controls service offerings with customer requirements and decision drivers.
• Close sufficient sales to meet sales plan objectives and maintain an active proposal backlog.
• Conduct building surveys to support estimate development and proposal accuracy.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of all sales-related activities.
• Submit sales reports, expenses, competitive activity, and correspondence accurately and on time.
• Support the service department by generating leads for service or equipment and device upgrades.
• Collaborate with service, technical, design engineering, support, and management teams to deliver a strong customer experience.
