Job summary

The role requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and experience in bid processes. You will coordinate across departments, manage vendor deals for education/nonprofit accounts, and help ensure accurate AR and timely profit analyses.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Bid Specialist or related experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be willing to sign Sysco Protective Covenants Agreement.

Responsibilities

• Approve all bids before submission to the customer.
• Manage the performance of bids that have been awarded.
• Solicit account business when needed.
• Maintain documentation to company standards.
• Solicit new business in the market.
• Establish accurate and timely profit performa on new prospects.
• Oversee vendor deals for nonprofit and school applications.
• Maintain bid pricing, customer agreements, and profitability.
• Ensure positive and effective correspondence with Sysco customers.
• Oversee order scripting and input for school customers as needed.
• Review orders for stock issues and substitutions.
• Collaborate with all departments to communicate effectively.
• Promote Sysco Brand through events and product showcases.
• Attend Sysco Tech classes and Sales Meetings.
• Maintain consistent accounts receivable for bid customers.
