Job summary

MyMichigan Health seeks a Business Development and Transactions Manager to drive strategic planning, assess new business opportunities, and negotiate priorities across the health system. You will partner with the CSO and executive leaders on system-wide initiatives, expansion plans, and program development.

The role involves leading multi-disciplinary projects, evaluating market trends, and managing due diligence processes. Strong analytical skills and healthcare knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years experience in Health Care finance or operations required.
• Healthcare industry knowledge including terminology, trends, and emerging technologies.
• Strong data analytical skills required to support multiple departments using various databases.
• Strong business acumen including market analysis, financial/operational modeling, due diligence, etc.
• Project management skills including scoping, workplan development, and execution under a timeline.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly to individuals and groups, with written and verbal presentation skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Mandatory OSHA training must be completed annually per the Exposure Control Plan.

Responsibilities

• Lead the production of useful and timely analysis to assist leaders in identifying opportunities and prioritization across geography or program expansions.
• Assist the CSO in developing system-wide short-term and long-term strategies and implement them across the organization.
• Lead cross-functional strategic projects with senior leadership, including due diligence, plan development, and project management, while tracking budgets and timelines.
• Advise executives and leaders on strategic and market issues, identify new opportunities, growth initiatives, and differentiation strategies.
• Oversee CON filings and related financial projections, reviewing feedback prior to filings.
• Produce value analyses to evaluate partnership and merger/acquisition opportunities and negotiating strategies.
