Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst II to deliver analytics solutions, educate users on data tools, and promote data literacy across the organization. You will generate reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions while aligning with business rules and policies.

The role requires collaboration, problem solving, and ability to work independently or in a team; Epic and SQL/Tableau experience preferred; strong healthcare data knowledge and communication skills are

Qualifications

• Epic Certification in at least one application area or Tableau or other data visualization tool certification.
• Three or more years of experience developing applications/reports within Epic, a BI tool or Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 or other required tools.
• Proficiency in SQL and expertise in business intelligence analytics tools with the ability to develop complex SQL statements and stored procedures.
• Extensive experience with reporting tools such as Tableau, SSRS, Crystal Reports or Business Objects.
• Knowledge of relational database design and data modeling for dashboards and analyses.
• Proficiency in data manipulation and extraction techniques.
• Experience with ETL technology, SSIS preferred.
• Experience with integrating data from heterogeneous systems (flat files, Excel, relational databases).
• Strong communication and teamwork across levels in health systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal customers to identify reporting needs and build reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions.
• Lead medium to large support or project initiatives with planning and execution.
• Support and troubleshoot ETL processes and data development needs; resolve data integrity issues.
• Develop ETL processes from EMR sources into consolidated reporting systems using SSIS or create visualizations using Tableau.
• Coordinate with Database Administrators on technically complex solutions.
