Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking a Manager to develop and implement centralized billing policies for MMG to maximize cash flow and service. The role directs all centralized billing functions including Insurance Billing and Support Services.

Responsibilities include leading the Central Billing Office staff, coordinating with regional directors and coding resources, and driving improvements in productivity and days outstanding while educating teams on third-party requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Preferred: 4-year degree in Business Admin or health care service management or related field with coding credentials CPC or CCS-P.
• Minimum eight years healthcare experience with at least five in a leadership role.
• Preferred: ten years experience, five in physician billing, with two years managerial in a computerized setting.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
• Office equipment skills and strong organizational and analytical abilities.
• Human relation skills, interviewing and excellent people skills.
• Two years in a computerized setting with various PC software.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, recommends and implements new procedures for the Central Billing Office to improve cash flow and receivables.
• Manages and directs Central Billing Office staff and coordinates with regional directors and managers.
• Ensures productivity, quality and days outstanding targets are met or improved.
• Educates staff and MMG teams on third-party billing requirements and collection procedures.

Education

Bachelor's degree required

Coding credentials (CPC/CCS-P) preferred
