Job summary

Chelsea Search Group is seeking an experienced Technical Business Development Manager in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will bridge engineering and business development, working with Mil-Aero, Industrial, and Medical customers to translate complex technical needs into compelling opportunities.

Responsibilities include pre-sales support, technical proposals, and long-term relationship building. Travel up to 30% and collaboration with engineering and leadership teams are expected.

Qualifications

• BSEE/MSEE or equivalent.
• 3+ years in Design Automation, FPGA, or ASIC Design.
• 5+ years in the Semiconductor industry.
• Excellent English communication, both written and oral.
• Experience with Mil-Aero and/or Industrial customers is a plus.
• Strong technical documentation and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Close business by providing technical sales support during various stages of the sales cycle.
• Contribute to development of the overall ASIC architecture.
• Develop long-term client relationships by understanding and interpreting requirements.
• Prepare technical and cost proposals.
• Deliver technical presentations and demonstrate product fit to client needs.
• Meet sales targets and coordinate multiple sales projects.
• Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education.
• Travel up to 30% to engage with customers.
