Job summary

ARCO/Murray, a national design-build firm, seeks a Director of Business Development to lead strategic growth from its St. Louis (Rock Hill) office. You will identify opportunities, build client relationships, and coordinate with marketing, project management, and operations to win new business.

The role requires 5–10 years of new business development and direct sales in construction sectors, with design-build experience and proficiency with Salesforce, MS Dynamics, or Pipedrive. Travel up to 40%.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of new business development experience.
• Direct sales experience in construction, light industrial/manufacturing, or commercial sectors preferred.
• Design-build experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop relationships with industry professionals to generate new business opportunities.
• Create and expand ARCO’s footprint and establish top-of-mind awareness.
• Research and analyze key economic factors influencing market activity in niche markets/geographies.
• Help develop and manage the execution of the sales plan.
• Attend trade shows and association meetings to stay abreast of market conditions and establish client relationships.
• Coordinate and manage the sales/proposal process with marketing, PM, and operations teams.
• Travel as needed, up to 40%.
