Job summary

Ares Management Corporation seeks an experienced Associate Vice President for the Corporate Accounting team. The role oversees operating expenses, supports the SOX 404 control environment, and partners with CAO and Global Controller to drive accounting excellence as the company grows.

Lead a cross‑functional team, manage external audits, and contribute to capital transactions and process improvements. Requires CPA/CA and 10+ years in accounting, with ERP (Oracle Fusion) and BI (Power BI)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
• CPA or CA required.
• 10+ years of accounting experience; public and private preferred.
• ERP systems experience, Oracle Fusion preferred.
• Power BI or BI tools experience a plus.
• AI tools such as Copilot and ChatGPT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operating expenses and SOX 404 control environment.
• Review journal entries, expense allocations, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage a team across offshore and onshore resources.
• Assist external auditors and internal audit/tax relationships.
• Support internal reporting and ad-hoc requests from various users.
• Lead special projects including capital transactions and process improvements.
