Job summary

Atlas Search is seeking an Associate Vice President to own and strengthen its General Ledger and operational accounting as the business scales. This hybrid role sits in Los Angeles, CA, with a base salary of $170,000 to $185,000.

The candidate will oversee month-end close, lead a team across time zones, work with auditors, and contribute to capital transactions and process automation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting experience with a strong General Ledger foundation.
• Active CPA certification.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end and quarter-end close, journal entry review, reconciliations, and balance sheet integrity in a SOX 404 environment.
• Prepare variance analyses, oversee quarterly G&A expense forecast, and use GL analytics for business decisions.
• Manage a growing team across time zones (onshore and offshore).
• Partner with external and internal auditors.
• Contribute to special projects including capital transactions, acquisitions, and process automation.

Our client, a leading alternative investment firm, is seeking a hands‑on Associate Vice President to own and strengthen its General Ledger and operational accounting function as the business continues to scale. This hybrid role sits with their team in Los Angeles, CA.

The annual base salary range is $170,000 to $185,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end and quarter-end close, journal entry review, account reconciliations, expense allocations, and balance sheet integrity within a SOX 404 control environment
• Prepare variance analyses, oversee the quarterly G&A expense forecast, and use GL analytics to help drive business decisions
• Manage a growing team of onshore and offshore staff across time zones
• Partner with external and internal auditors
• Contribute to special projects including capital transactions, acquisitions, and process automation

Job Requirements

• 10+ years of accounting experience with a strong General Ledger foundation, including Big 4 or similar public accounting experience and time at a publicly traded company
• An active CPA
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Hands‑on Oracle Fusion experience, and Power BI skills are required
