Job summary

Pepco is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support the Long-Range Plan and enterprise capital investment strategies. You will evaluate investment alternatives, run multi-variable scenario analyses, and provide insights balancing risk, reliability, customer impact, and financial objectives.

The role sits in the Investment Strategy team, requiring strong analytical and communication skills, and may involve extended hours during storms or energy delivery events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering with 4–7 years of related business experience, or 6–9 years in lieu of degree.
• MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in standard software (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and specialized tools for forecasting, planning and analysis.
• Ability to develop financial models, conduct scenario planning and present to leadership.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
• Customer-oriented with effective written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop short- and long-range business planning and perform complex modeling, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Provide statistical information to optimize personnel, equipment and materials utilization.
• Monitor operational performance and suggest improvements.
• Track KPIs and prepare detailed internal and external reports.
• Lead or support projects and process improvements as needed.
• Support the business unit with broad analytical and operational insights.
