Job summary

Tucson Electric Power is seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to support the business planning function. You will create and maintain near-term and long-term forecasts, perform monthly variance analysis, and partner with business areas for rolling forecast updates.

The role requires the ability to work in ambiguity and act as a consultant to management on significant business decisions, with emphasis on accuracy and detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Six to seven years of relevant work experience preferred.
• An advanced business degree or professional designation may substitute for two years of work experience.
• Excellent PC and spreadsheet software skills.
• Demonstrated project management abilities, including prioritizing and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the collection and analysis of data from various business partners for input into corporate models.
• Perform necessary research and analysis to develop input data and assumptions for financial forecasts.
• Obtain data through research and industry analysis or from other departments as needed.
• Keep backup documentation for forecast data and assumptions.
• Develop understanding of the Company’s finances and the relationship between operations and financial performance.
• Provide financial analyses in support of corporate activities and strategic initiatives.
• Prepare analyses for corporate decision-making on an as-needed basis.
